About the Author
is it difficult to install a bluetooth card on a laptop? I am ordering a 1720 and have the card .?
I can't decide whether to do it myself of have the "geek squad" do it. Anyone ever install a bluetooth card on an inspiron 1720. any comments about it? they did send the driver disc with it.

Mm.. if its anything like my inspiron 6000.
Its VERY Simple..
Its either underneath the battery or underneath the keyboard, for either, all you have to do is.
"Underneath Battery"
Remove battery, there is a small door on the side of the laptop where the battery was. theres a wire in there, you hook it to the bluetooth, and victory is yours, just use the cd to install.
If its the wireless card area.
"Underneath keyboard"
Basically the little thing where the power key is comes off from the right side of the laptop with a little prying.
Then theres 2 screws to hold the keyboard on
it pops up then out.
There should be a slot there.
