Two days tour to Cairo and Luxor from Alexandria Port

Tour Itinerary
Day 1:  Transfer to Cairo, sights in Cairo
Our Cairo and Luxor tour will start with pick up service from your ship terminal in Alexandria port, where our REP will meet you with aboard reflecting your name, then by air-conditioned vehicle you will be transferred to Cairo. In arrival in Cairo you will be accompanied by private Egyptologist guide and have first step of your tour to great Egypt Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the tombs of pharaohs constructed around 5000 years ago and great Sphinx - guard of those tombs, with body of lion and human head. Lunch meal will be served at a good quality restaurant in Cairo. Next sight of your Cairo tour will be the Egyptian Museum with extensive collection of 120000 items of ancient Egyptian antiquities, famous for artefacts of the child king Tutankhamen's tomb, which was found mostly intact. After all you will visit Old Cairo and see the Coptic Monastery with Hanging Church. The area called "Complex of Three Religions", because there also set he mosque of Amr Ibn al-Aas, erected in the year 642, and Ben Ezra Synagogue, dating from the tenth century. Free time in Cairo with many optional tours, then you will be driven to Cairo airport to fly to Luxor, with direct transfer to your hotel in Luxor for check in and overnight stay.
 
Day 2: Sights in Luxor, return back to Alexandria port
After your breakfast in the hotel in Luxor you will continue second day of your Cairo and Luxor tour from Alexandria port with your Egyptologist guide to visit the West Bank of the Nile River. You will start by visiting the Valley of the Kings - burial place of pharaohs, hidden in the rocks, decorated with scenes and funerary rituals of the period for afterlife of pharaohs. Valley of the Kings is famous for Tutankhamen tomb and its treasures, discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter. Next sight of your Luxor tour will be visiting Hatshepsut temple at El Deir Al Bahari, dedicated to the queen Hatshepsut - famous female pharaoh, the temple with three layered terraces connected by long ramps which were once surrounded by gardens. Inside temple you can see text and picture of an expedidion to exotic country calls Land of Punt. Then will visit the Colossi of Memnon, two colossal statues, was stayed guard at entrance of Amenhotep III temple in ancient times, and only remaining nowadays. Name means 'Ruler of the Dawn' and was probably given, because of 'singing' at dawn one of the statue. Lunch meal will be served at a good quality restaurant in Luxor. Proceed the tour in Luxor to Karnak temple the bigest open-air museum in the World, Karnak temple dedicated to the God Amon-Ra, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. In Karnak Temple each pharaoh tried to perpetuate his name, so it is also known as the Karnak Temple Complex. One of the famous area in Karnak Temple - Hypostyle hall with 134 massive columns with over three meters in diameter. Free time in Luxor, and then transer to Luxor airport for flight back to Cairo followed with transfer to your ship terminal in Alexandria port.

Booking Confirmation:
Booking of your trip will be complete and confirmed by your tour designer as soon as we receive the 25% down payment. Booking Confirmation will be sent to you by email in a maximum 1 hour after payment.

About the Author

Will a video card with an HDMI port transfer audio from my desktop to my HDTV?

I'm looking to watch movies on my HDTV by running an HDMI cable from the video card to the TV. I know audio isn't transfered through VGA or AVI cables so I want to make sure it will transfer through a card with an HDMI port before I buy a new card. Thanks in advance for your responses!

I would recommend an ATI/AMD card as all of the ones that I have gotten from them in the past years (since DVI) all have built in HDMI audio on the cards. There are some cards from NVIDIA that support HDMI audio on card and some that require a special cable to connect the video card to a SP/DIF output on your motherboard or sound card.
