The Sony SZ 56 notebook is quite similar to Sony SZ 58. Just like the SZ 58, SZ 56 notebook also has various ports and slots for different utilizations. The ports present here are USB Port, FireWire, Bluetooth and Digital Media Reader, but unlike SZ 58, SZ 56 also has an ExpressCard slot. ExpressCard is a hardware standard replacing CardBus PC cards, both developed by the PCMCIA. Sony SZ 56 also has in built speakers as well. These make the gaming experience on this laptop a nice one which is enhanced with Intel High Definition Audio.

Sony SZ 56 comes has an LCD display of 13.3" with a maximum display resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The Clear Bright screen adds to its beauty. The notebook also has an Integrated Video Display Card which has a shared memory of 251 MB. Sony SZ 56 sports an internal modem which has the speed of 56 Kbps. It is also incorporated with Wi-Fi which is 802.11a/b/g.
