HP's Instant On fusion technology brings warm up time down to virtually zero, and keeps the HP LaserJet 4240N's first page at time at only 8 seconds. With time to first print this small, single page documents will no longer bog down networks with a large quantity of frequent users and, at 40 pages per minute, even massive workloads will process rapidly.

While 64 MBs of RAM comes standard with the HP LaserJet 4240N printer, two industry standard 100 pin DIMM slots allow for upgrades totaling a maximum of 512 MBs of RAM. Considering that the device was designed as a network machine built for optimal speed, additional memory might be a good investment to consider when dealing with complex print jobs such as mixed text and imagery. Additionally, two open compact flash slots are accessible internally as well.

The HP LaserJet 4240N's maximum monthly duty cycle of 175,000 pages not only means that the machine is built and ready to deliver huge quantities of printed product, but the claim is backed by HP's one year warranty as well which includes on site repair as well as remote technical support.

My computer freezes right after booting with video screen artifacts, which part is wrong?

Here's my system specs:

It is probably your either your Memory or your NorthBridge (located on the motherboard). I get these all the time at work, and it is usually either one of those two. You should do this:

1. Take out your graphics card and turn on the system. You should hear a series of beeps. If you don't your PCI-E controller is bad. If you do hear series of beeps put the card back in and proceed to:

2. Try getting into the BIOS before Memtest runs. If you can check to see how much system memory the screen shows. If it is not 2 Gigs, either your RAM is bad or your Memory Controller is bad. You can determine which problem it is by taking out one stick of ram at a time and testing each one individually on your motherboard (RAM sticks rarely fail more than one at a time.).If everything tests fine....

3. Try taking off the power connectors to the cd/dvd drives, then boot your machine,it could be low or unstable power from a faulty power supply could be freezing your processor.

4. Finally if all else fails, Check the Interweb for any compatabillity issues with any of your gear. A lot of times a simple google search can solve the problem for you.

IF none of the above work, you have a bad MoBo, try to get it serviced under Asus Waranty
