Can I go on xbox live using my laptop and ethernet cable?

I get my internet through a t-mobile USB web n walk dongle, so I do not have a router, I recently got a xbox 360 and would like to game online, Is it possible to have my laptop connected to the internet then simply run an ethernet cable from it to the xbox and then it will be online also. I get speeds of around 1.3MB.

Yes, you can.
Follow these steps, please note that you must have an active Xbox Live Account

1) If you don't already have one, you need an active Xbox Live Account
2) Purchase a Crossover Cable, they're cheap and very similar to Ethernet Cables.
3) Turn on laptop, connect to your wireless.
4) Plug the crossover cable into both the Xbox & the Laptop
5) Open up Network Connections, select the new LAN which appears as well as your active connection, right click and select "Bridge Connections"
6) Your Xbox will then have access to the internet.
7) Please note that while bridged, your laptop will most likely not be able to use the internet, when you're done on Xbox, unbridge to use the Laptop.
