How does dual monitors work?
I know u buy an adaptor but is that all you need? I know my goal is to have the dual monitors so i can have 1 on my desktop and 1 on my gaming screen. Is it that simple?
For dual monitors, all you really need is the necessary cable. (In my case, I have my laptop monitor and a samsung lcd monitor. The samsung monitor is hooked up to the VGA output of my laptop with a VGA cable)
Essentially, dual monitors work to "extend" your desktop space rather than having two different desktops. You can't really be playing a fullscreen game on one monitor and have something open on another. Just think of it this way--if you can already do both on ONE monitor, then you can do it with duals. It's like more working space--that's all. You can have Word open in one monitor, and, say, Firefox open in another. Again, it's like you're using one huuuuge monitor.
