Digital infrared thermal imaging, otherwise known as thermography is what you are looking for! A thermogram is an early detection and screening device that detects changes in breast tissue earlier than a mammogram can. It is pain-free, radiation-free and FDA registered for breast screening. The procedure takes 20 minutes and reports are returned within two weeks. The scans are read by M.D.'s who are board certified in thermology. An initial scan is followed three months later by a second scan to establish a baseline. Follow ups are usually recommended annually after a baseline is established.

Thermography is thermal imaging for the breast and body. There is no compression, no radiation, and it is 8-10 years earlier detection than a mammogram. It is ...over 97% accurate in the early detection of breast cancer.... Mammography is detection once you have cancer; thermography is used in the prevention of breast cancer, by alerting you early enough to make the changes (nutritional/hormonal) to REVERSE the cancer before it actually becomes a tumor.

Thermography: Testing

Purpose of thermography test:
*For the early detection of lesions and vascular changes
* To identify an abnormal area for further diagnostic testing
* To provide objective evidence
* To define a previously diagnosed injury or condition
* Assists in determining cause of pain
* To evaluate soft tissue injury or sensory-nerve irritation
* To evaluate progress of current healing modalities and their effectiveness

Description of test:
* Time for test: 15-45 minutes depending on which scan is desired
* It is important for your skin temperature to equilibrate to a room
temperature to between 68-72 degrees. You will be asked to sit in the room until temperatures patterns equalize to the room.
* Thermograms can range from breast scan to full body and areas
of interest.
* All clothes and jewelry will be removed over area to be scanned.
A gown will be provided for patient comfort until scan commences.

Additional tests and studies:
* There may be additional studies recommended to establish a
precise diagnosis.

Time before test results available:
* Time can vary from 3-5 days in reporting. Scans are read by doctors
Board Certified in Thermology.
* Special circumstances can dictate reports read in 24 hours for
a nominal fee.

What are your thoughts on the Eden Pure Quartz Infrared Heater?

It's an expensive space heater ($300-400), but it sounds like just what I need. I don't want to get hosed on this!

I have cats and Sugar Gliders in a drafty house in the middle of the high desert where it gets very cold. The Sugar Gliders need a constant temperature of about 70 degrees or so. Gas heat is way too expensive. The house has base board heating built in underneath DRAFTY windows which has prooved inaffective, and we have furniture up against them anyways. I have a space heater working full time right now, which seems okay for now, but the cats are bound to knock it over and the last thing I need is a fire! Arg!

If you haven't heard of that Eden Pure heater, what other alternatives can you guys suggest?

Wow, seems like a lot of money for very few BTU’s, the larger of the two units is only 5000 BTU’s. The electrical usage Amp draw and such are mysteriously left out. And, what is the dangerous radiation that they speak about with other heat sources. Someone must have some spent nuclear fuel rods in there basement for heat or something; they really need to be careful with that dangerous radiation. If you haven’t guessed already, I’m rather partial to gas since it’s my livelihood. I do however thank Paul Harvey on another occasion for sending me a lot of business a few years back. Seems he was really advertising the benefits of these hypoallergenic furnace filters that would really make your home a much cleaner environment. The only problem with them was that they were so thick that they would starve your furnace for air. I replaced many furnace blower motors, as well as a few complete furnaces. It’s pretty sad that so many people ended up buying an overpriced furnace filter thinking is was going to clean the air in their home and it ended up costing them much more than they ever dreamed. I like Paul, but I'm really starting to question (after reading about this product ) many of the things that he recomends to people.

. You really should contact a full service propane provider just to discuss some options that you may have with propane heat.
