PLC programming is becoming more and more needed in the business world especially when it comes to controlling machinery. PLC stands for 'Programmable Logic Controller' and is in essence a tiny computer with its own operating system. This operating system is what controls much of what the machinery that runs industry is capable of doing.

These seminars will allow you a more 'classroom' environment and much of what you will learn will be hands on. Some seminars will train you in the basics of PLC programming and others will tech you specific applications.
No matter how you prefer to learn there is a method for you to learn PLC that will be effective. If you work in an environment that has a need for those who are skilled in PLC programming then taking advantage of one of the many ways to learn PLC as it could be the catalyst that helps you get to the next level in your career.

What is a good computer for PLC interfacing and programing?
I am looking to study PLC programing. My PC is a dinosaur and I need to upgrade. As I will be using it mostly for studying PLCs and will need to us it on the job I want to get the best! Well, under a grand. I figure I will need a good player for software disk and maybe some special ports.What special feachers should I look for to optimize my ability to work with PLCs
you did not specify the kind of plc and the software you use so lets start guessing.
most plc programing softwares will need either serial ports or net port.
com ports are not always found on new computers so make sure you have at least one.
for the net connection you would need a hub to connect your plc to the net.
as for the softwares they vary but most pc`s can support their requirements. so you need not go for the realy expensive ones.
